Las nominaciones a los Critics Choice Awards 2026 ya fueron anunciadas y la gran favorita del año es Sinners, de Ryan Coogler, que encabeza la lista con 17 menciones. Le sigue de cerca One Battle After Another, el esperado proyecto de Paul Thomas Anderson, con 14 nominaciones.
Otros títulos destacados incluyen Frankenstein de Guillermo del Toro y Hamnet de Chloé Zhao, ambas con 11 nominaciones. En la categoría intermedia sobresalen Marty Supreme de Josh Safdie, con 8 menciones, y Sentimental Value de Joachim Trier, que obtuvo 7. Con esa misma cifra figura Wicked: For Good, que continúa sumándose a la conversación de Mejor Película pese a la persistente controversia entre críticos y audiencias.
Entre las sorpresas más celebradas figura la nominación a Mejor Edición del documental The Perfect Neighbor, armado exclusivamente con imágenes de cámaras corporales policiales para reconstruir cómo la inacción de las autoridades desencadenó una tragedia en un vecindario de Florida. También llamó la atención la presencia de la película argentina Belén en la categoría de Mejor Película en Idioma Extranjero.
