La Academia Británica ha revelado los resultados de la primera ronda de votación en las 24 categorías de los Premios de Cine BAFTA 2024, con un trío de películas, tal vez no sorprendente, en la cima.
El fenómeno cultural que fue “Barbenheimer” ha seguido abriéndose paso en la temporada de premios, con “Barbie” y “Oppenheimer” nombradas en 15 categorías, incluidas mejor película y director. Pero uniéndose a los dos con 15 puestos, lo que lo convierte en un triple empate de cara a las nominaciones finales, está Killers of the Flower Moon. El año pasado, sólo “All Quiet on the Western Front” obtuvo 15 lugares en la lista larga, y la película dominó la ceremonia de premios (y ganó el premio a la mejor película).
“Poor Things” fue mencionada con 14 categorías, “Maestro” con 12 y “Saltburn” con 11, pero perdió el puesto de mejor película. A otras películas del Reino Unido les fue bien: “The Zone of Interest” y “All of Us Strangers” nombradas en 10 categorías (incluida la de mejor película).
