Los Oscar han anunciado las listas de finalistas en 12 categorías para la próxima 98ª ceremonia.
Miembros de diversas ramas de la Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas participaron en la votación preliminar en diversas categorías, incluyendo cortometraje de animación, largometraje documental, cortometraje documental, largometraje internacional, cortometraje de acción real, maquillaje y peluquería, banda sonora original, canción original, sonido y efectos visuales. Este año también se estrenan las listas de finalistas para casting y la mejor fotografía, ambas incluidas por primera vez.
‘Sinners’ y ‘Wicked: Parte II’ son las que más menciones ya que aparecen con ocho menciones, dos de ellas en canción original.
